During her time as manager of the
Chicago Trax, she was also heavily involved in the industry as an artist,
writer and performer as well as producing her own projects.
With her voice being her main instrument, she took private voice lessons at
Oakton College with Mary LeGere, for several years. It was one of her most
important and vital career moves. The knowledge and understanding of how the
voice works and how best to utilize it, became one of her greatest strengths..
Using those tools, she went on to perform live with her band, Changes, and
record several albums as well as recording and producing projects for other
artists and commercials for advertising agencies.
Taking that invaluable experience with her, along with her need to broaden
her horizons, She moved on to work deeper within the industry and eventually
became a consultant for several record companies, in which she is still
involved today.
With her strong music consulting business experience, her involvement in
writing, producing and developing artists is prevalent. In 2004 she partnered
with Michael Powell and Chicago Guitar Lessons. Having all of the elements she
was looking for; a teaching facility as well as a production studio, Chicago
Voice Lessons came to fruition.
