For ten years Dee managed Chicago Trax Recording,one of Chicago’s top recording studios. While supervising the staff and managing operations, she had the opportunity to work with many successful artists and producers such as; R Kelly, Ministry, Liz Phair, Nine Inch Nails, Fear Factory, Farley “Jack Master” Funk, Filter, Gavin Christopher, Mr. Blotto, Taj Jamal, and George Harrison.

At Chicago Trax Dee was also heavily involved in the industry as an artist, writer and performer as well as producing her own projects. Dee took private voice lessons at Oakton College with Mary LeGere, for several years. She found this to be one of her most important and vital career moves. The knowledge and understanding of how the voice works and how best to utilize it, became one of her greatest strengths. Using those tools, she went on to perform live with her band, Changes, and record 3 albums as well as recording and producing projects for other artists and commercials for advertising agencies.

After leaving Chicago Trax and taking her invaluable experience with her she moved on to work deeper within the industry and eventually became a consultant for several record companies, in which she is still involved today. In 2004 she partnered with Michael Powell and Chicago Guitar Lessons. Having all of the elements she was looking for; a teaching facility as well as a production studio, Chicago Voice Lessons came to fruition. Her CD on Nu Groove Records -- De'Nate' - "Reminisce" is available at Amazon.com, iTunes, Cd Universe, etc.

Chicago Voice Lessons donates thousands of dollars per year for
